ArtMeet 2024 “Partnership”
In 2024, ArtMeet was honored with an incentive award from the İzmir Culture Fund (İZKF) under the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. This recognition allowed us to expand our activities across İzmir, reaching diverse communities in Karaburun, Basmane, and Buca.
As part of this expansion, ArtMeet organized workshops with women living in Basmane, creating a space for artistic expression and shared storytelling. Additionally, we engaged with students in Buca, fostering discussions on art, ecology, and cultural heritage through interactive sessions and creative collaborations.
A major highlight of the year was the “Sözleşme” (Contract) exhibition, held at [exhibition venue], which featured 18 artists exploring the intersections of art, nature, and societal agreements. Complementing the exhibition, we hosted a seminar program in collaboration with Antrog, offering critical perspectives on ecological and philosophical themes.
Through these initiatives, ArtMeet continues to foster dialogue, participation, and artistic exchange, strengthening its role as a dynamic platform for culture and creativity in İzmir and beyond.
ArtMeet 2023 “Solidarity”
Nestled within the vibrant streets of Izmir, ArtMeet emerges as a beacon of cultural convergence and artistic discourse. Conceived in November 2023 as a pioneering initiative by the Globera, this annual festival transcends conventional boundaries, weaving a tapestry of creativity, innovation, and ecological consciousness.
At its core, ArtMeet is a symposium of ideas—a platform where artists, scholars, and enthusiasts converge to explore the dynamic interplay between art, ecology, and urbanity. Each edition of ArtMeet unfolds as a thematic exploration, delving into pressing societal issues while celebrating the boundless ingenuity of human expression.
