Time Sensitive

Time Sensitive is a research project which has started in February 2023.

The project is looking for the source of the problems we are experiencing today in our work lives by looking back at historical events.

This research consists of scanning visual materials, reading written sources, researching the originals of the visuals used in these sources, etc.
The visual archive that can be accessed on the subject, starting from the end of the 19th century and reaching to the present day, is very telling.

January 2021 Globera artists RE.sole and Mondual were on  our YouTube channel with their live audio-visual performances.

On March 5th, 2021 Mondual’s Globera Live performance released on Transferans İstanbul/Berlin based record label.

We came here on the hottest days of summer, when everyone embraced the idea of a holiday and fled from the city to the seaside and into nature. Of course, escaping from the city has a lot to do with the fact that there will be a return to the city. To let yourself into the time of nature, to be involved in it and to remember, to understand… Despite all its inconsistency, rethinking the state of life in the city with a calm and vigorous mind, and going back to it with a  transformed mind.

While the video includes Alper Bıçaklıoğlu's dioramas that make the audience look gigantic, İlyas Hayta is inspired by this empty and dead-end street and offers a critical look at the isolation conditions we live in today.

De-Structure

Human settlements tend to wear down and collapse over time when they are not used. They can maintain their integrity and function only when they are used. In this respect, they require the existence of human beings. Nothing is static; everything is in change. Depending on environmental conditions, the substance changes on a molecular scale according to the laws of universal physics.
