Human settlements tend to wear down and collapse over time when they are not used. They can maintain their integrity and function only when they are used. In this respect, they require the existence of human beings. Nothing is static; everything is in change.
Depending on environmental conditions, the substance changes on a molecular scale according to the laws of universal physics.
We assume that these laws of physics are the only things that do not change, and we create models and establish theories that can explain our reality. It turned out that the three spatial dimensions we perceive with Einstein's theory of general relativity cannot be considered separately from the time dimension, and the behavior of the substance we perceive can only be explained by a theory in which these four dimensions are formulated together. The texture of the universe we observe is not flat. Mass causes space-time to bend. Light travels through this bent texture, causing us to perceive the deformed appearance of the true form. With every scientific leap, the realities challenge our intuition and cause us to review everything we know.
The discovery of quantum mechanics caused a major paradigm shift in the scientific thought, revealing the need to abandon the determinist perspective. Probabilities replaced certainty. We know that reality can no longer be described independent from the observer. By combining theories that are consistent in themselves but do not work at some scales, reaching a single unified theory that can explain everything perfectly has become the ultimate goal of physical science. The four dimensions we perceive are insufficient for such a unified theory, and 10 or 11 dimensional theories that contain additional dimensions are being studied. We cannot directly observe these additional dimensions, but signs of their existence emerge through mathematical analysis.
Basing on the relationship of the observer with the laws of physics, this video tries to form a speculation about the kind of experience the observer might have if his/her perceptions were damaged. The constant velocity of light and massless photons are indispensable in all modern theories. But what happens if the observer's distorted perception perceives photons as clusters at different speeds or masses? Do unreal bends, tears, displacements, overlaps occur in spatial perception? Can the observer position himself/herself with such a perception? How would the deformation in the sense of direction be? What kind of a disconnection would be experienced with the space?
Mondual, composed of Sair Sinan Kestelli and Tuğrul V. Soylu, has played in many different venues and festivals in Turkey and abroad until today, and released their first album "dubio" in 2014 under the label of Partapart. The band has a unique place in the independent electronic music scene with their original sound world and performance dynamics. The band continues with the preparations for their new album to be released in 2021 and they are accompanied by Onur Kek with live visuals in their concerts.
Some of the events they have participated until today are as follows: Demonation Festival 2015, Selekt Festival 2015, Indiecity 2014, Sofia Underground Festival 2014, ICMC 2010 New York.
